Seed and fruit pulp
Uses in traditional medicine :
- Seed oil is applied on the head to promote healthy hair
- One table spoon of juice of the fresh fruit pulp is taken thrice a day for stomach pain in children
- Used to treat itches, pain in the back and loins, rheumatism, headaches, skin diseases and malarial fever
- Acts as an astringent against cholera

Bioactivity :
Schleicherastatins 1-7: inhibit cancer cell growth; methanol extract of fruits: free radical scavenger; root extract: antioxidative, anticancer
